Kim Ashton’s ‘Dots’ on top-voted album ‘Tangled Pipes’

Tangled Pipes, Nonclassical’s latest release including Kim’s Dots for recorder consort, has just been voted No.1 Best Classical Album 2010 in Chicago TimeOut:

“Rescuing the recorder from Ren fairs and prim early-music ensembles” Chicago TimeOut, 2010

Here’s what Sequenza21 had to say about it too:

“Listening to Tangled Pipes was one of the most pleasantly surprising audience experiences I’ve had in a long time. Not only did the new recorder quintet music on Tangled Pipes reveal an uncharted world of timbre wavering between acoustic and electronic sounds, but the inclusion of hip and well produced track remixes also made the album a unique musical object I’m happy to own.” Garrett Schumann, Sequenza21
